This notice explains the information handled by Eydent Connect when an authorized administrator links a participating WooCommerce website to QuickBooks Online. WreckMaster Inc. operates the connection for its participating websites, including ArborMAX. The general WreckMaster website privacy policy is available at https://wreckmaster.com/privacy-policy/.

Information used

The connection uses the selected QuickBooks company identifier and authorization tokens needed to access its accounting data. For an order sent to QuickBooks, it may use the WooCommerce order number, paid date, billing country and province or state, currency, amounts, tax total, and configured QuickBooks customer, item, tax code, and deposit account references. It also records the resulting QuickBooks receipt identifier and sync status against the WooCommerce order. Depending on the configuration and future connector updates, receipt details may include information associated with a customer or order.

Why it is used

This information is used to authorize the connection, send eligible paid orders to the correct QuickBooks company, detect duplicate receipts, compare the resulting totals and taxes, identify errors, and support accounting review. US and Canadian QuickBooks connections are configured separately.

Where it goes

Connection settings, tokens, and sync records are stored in the participating website’s WordPress environment. Data needed to create or check a receipt is sent to Intuit QuickBooks Online. The website’s hosting and service providers may process information in the course of operating and securing the website. QuickBooks data is also governed by Intuit’s own terms and privacy practices.

Access and retention

Access to connection settings is limited to authorized website administrators. Order records and QuickBooks receipts remain in their respective systems according to the site’s and QuickBooks company’s record-keeping settings. Disconnecting locally removes the website’s saved connection tokens; it does not erase earlier orders, receipts, notes, or copies retained in backups. An administrator can separately revoke app access in QuickBooks Online.
